The Crucial Role of the 2024 FedEx Cup Fall Schedule

The Sanderson Farms Championship, the second of eight events on the FedEx Cup Fall schedule, takes place this weekend at The Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi. The FedEx Cup Fall schedule is a pivotal component of the PGA Tour season, giving players a chance to earn or maintain their status for the 2025 PGA Tour season. All FedEx Cup points from the 2024 PGA Tour season carry over to the fall. What’s at stake during the Fall schedule?

Exempt Status for 2025

  • The top 125 players at the end of the fall schedule will earn full status for the 2025 season. 
  • Players ranked 126 – 150 will retain conditional status 

Signature Events

  • The top 10 players on the points list at the end of the fall schedule who aren’t already qualified for the 2025 signature events will earn a spot in the first two after the Sentry.
  • The top 50 players after the FedEx Cup Playoffs earned full exemption for the 2025 season and qualify for Signature Events in 2025.
  • Players who finished in positions 51-70 after the FedEx Cup Playoffs are fully exempt for the 2025 season. They are competing for the 10 spots in the first two signature events following The Sentry.

What do winners of FedEx Cup Fall events receive?

  • A two-year PGA Tour exemption.
  • 500 FedExCup points.
  • Official World Golf Ranking points
  • Spots in THE PLAYERS, The Sentry and those major championships that invite PGA TOUR winners.

  • Procore Championship - Sept. 12-15
  • Sanderson Farms Championship - Oct. 3-6
  • Black Desert Championship - Oct. 10-13
  • Shriners Children's Open - Oct. 17-20
  • Zozo Championship - Oct. 24-27
  • World Wide Technology Championship - Nov. 7-10
  • Butterfield Bermuda Championship - Nov. 14-17
  • RSM Classic - Nov. 21-24

2025 Signature Events

  • The Sentry – Dec. 30-Jan. 5
  • Pebble Beach Pro-Am – Jan. 27-Feb. 2
  • Genesis Invitational – Feb. 10-16
  • Arnold Palmer Invitational – Mar. 3-9
  • RBC Heritage – Apr. 14-20
  • Truist Championship – May 5-11
  • Memorial Tournament – May 26-June 1
  • Travelers Championship – June 16-22

Most of the top players will skip the FedEx Cup Fall events because they have already secured their status for 2025. However, we should still see some good competition as the players vie for exemptions and signature events.
